She was born in 1978, After graduating frotm Marymount School, she studied drama and literature at New York University. She received her B.A. in history and M.A. inWestern Languages and Literatüre from Bosphorus University She received her PHD in Literatüre at Bosphorus Univeroty. She has had a number of notable performances in theatre and film. She has starred in a number of films such as Ferzan Özpetek's Harem Suare. She has published three works of poetry. Her fırst book Glass was published by Yapı Kredi in 2003 and her second book The Book of Winds by Artshop in 2009. Her book of sketches and verse was colleeted and published in 2013. She has ap-peared in a number of documentaries and televisions shows. She was a columnist in the notable daily newspaper Milliyet She currently prepares and conduets a weekly TV show on History and Reconciliation. Pelin Batu is an active e;ronmental activist. She has lectured extensively throughout rural Anatolia with several NGOs.
1978'de doğdu. Marymount Lisesi'nden mezun olduktan sonra New York Üniversitesinde edebiyat ve drama okudu. Boğaziçi Üniversitesi'nde tarih lisansını bitirdikten sonra yine aynı okulda Batı Dilleri ve Edebiyatı bölümünde master ve doktorasını tamamladı. Sinema kariyerine Ferzan Özpetek ile başladıktan sonra pek çok filmde oynadı. İlk kitabı Cam 2003 yılında yayınlandı (YKY). Bunu 2009 yılında ikinci şiir kitabı Rüzgar/ar Kitabî takip etti. 2013 yılında üçüncü şiir ve eskiz kitabı Resim Defteri yayınlandı. Belgesellerde görev aldı, çeşidi televizyon programlan ve Milliyet gazetesinde köşe yazarlığı yaptı. Halen "Yüzleşme" ile ilgili bir tartışma programı hazırlayıp yönetmektedir. Atlas Tarih dergisinde makaleleri yayınlan maktadır. Pek çok sivil toplum örgütüyle Anadolu'da projeler yürütmektedir.
